Matthews beach balls are very, very rare, I believe because they are so difficult to make without issues. Case in point was this batch made back in 2005, which I believe was the last time he tried to make them. Mark had trouble with some of the color cracking, and because of his worry about future issues with the marbles, they were signed specially, with his last name spelled backwards, HA! I don't know what the MIG in the signature stands for though - they were all signed this way. Many of them did indeed end up cracking, especially the larger ones, but this (which is still pretty large) survived intact and is a super sweet example. A rare chance indeed at such a nice and historic marble! Signed 'Swehttham MIG 2005'.
