Rose Roads and Travis Weber: "East Meets West Five" Size: 1.97" Price: SOLD

This was the last East Meets West collboration I received, and it was SOOOOOOO worth the wait!! Once again, we have THE BEST from an American master paired up with the best glass Japan can offer, and the result truly puts one into a drooling state of marbleous stupor! This marble is INCREDIBLE. I can't stress enough HOW much better this one looks in hand - both the pictures and the video did a TERRIBLE job of showing how awesome this marble is.

This is another of my favorite discs from Rose Roads, with an awesome and super complex pattern of thousands of dots. I wouldn't have the patience to spend 10 minutes trying to create something like this, but somehow Jun can go for an entire day working on a design like this. It takes a special sort of human being to have the drive and vision to create something like this. This is literally glass history right here!! The blues in this disc paired up with the blue theme throughout Travis' design.... mmmm, mmm so so delicious, I wanna eat it up. I am having a very, very, very, very, very hard time letting go of this marble!!

What is truly crazy is that if you're just looking down into Travis' Gravity Well vortex, you're thinking "Wow, this is one of the most beautiful and spectacular designs in a marble I've ever seen!!" So you're really REALLY not expecting to then flip the marble over and see THAT on the other side of it, a spectacular Rose Roads disc. That's when all thought comprehension simply breaks down and you start stammering away like a glass idiot. It doesn't compute. It doesn't seem possible. Right? I mean, that Gravity Well is DEEP, seriously deep, one of the nicest Travis has ever made. So how could he ALSO have been able to incorporate that Rose Roads half into the backside like that? Gaaah, derrr, aaaah, flabbagabbagimbo. Ooops, started stammering again there, my bad, sorry. Anyway, it's a glass miracle for Travis to pull this off.

Whoever the lucky winner is should seriously play this little joke on their friends. Just have the Gravity Well side displayed, and pick it up and hand it to them to check out, talking about how awesome that is. Then don't say a word and let them flip it on over and find Rose Roads on the backside. And THEN catch the marble before it hits the floor after they faint. Yeah, that's the ticket.
