This batch of 4 pendants featuring cabs created by Gateson and then leather worked by the famous Japanese artist Kousuke Oyama aka Kinoko Heads are the first of their kind to ever be developed, a commission I put together to bring the work of these two amazing artists together as one. I think anybody who sees these will agree that Kousuke went above and beyond with his leather work here, creating perfectly themed pieces that are now some of THE COOLEST space pendants the world has ever seen!! To me, this is the best work Kousuke has ever done (although some who love his Grateful Dead work with Rose Roads might disagree with me, ha.)

This pendant here just flat out blows my mind! I can't even begin to comprehend the leather work behind this piece, sooooo many tiny pieces of leather so perfectly laid together in order to create this design and pattern. It is astounding work by Kousuke, and it is perfect for such an amazing cab from Gateson! I love the little leather carved planet up in the bale of the piece, SO sweet! (And I have no idea how he does that - painstakingly for sure.) The cab AND the leather are BOTH UV in this piece!! The pink leather turns to a super neon bright orange when you hit it with the black light, incredibly cool, and much brighter orange than the pictures show. This is a new kind of leather that Kousuke used for the first time with this piece, more difficult to work with he said, but the end result is soooo worth it. Gateson's cab has one big textured planet in it, SO nice, and then loads of amazing fuming. The UV is laced throughout, with dotted highlights. This is flat out pendant history right here, with new boundaries shot for and achieved. Bravo to Gateson and Kousuke!! Signed 'Gateson 2015' (on the back of the glass) and 'KH' (in the leather).
