This batch of 4 pendants featuring cabs created by Gateson and then leather worked by the famous Japanese artist Kousuke Oyama aka Kinoko Heads are the first of their kind to ever be developed, a commission I put together to bring the work of these two amazing artists together as one. I think anybody who sees these will agree that Kousuke went above and beyond with his leather work here, creating perfectly themed pieces that are now some of THE COOLEST space pendants the world has ever seen!! To me, this is the best work Kousuke has ever done (although some who love his Grateful Dead work with Rose Roads might disagree with me, ha.) This pendant seriously took my breath away when I opened its package, and I will never forget that experience. The leather work that Kousuke fashioned to envelope this Terra Ingocnito style cab from Gateson is so spot on perfect for the overall flow of this pendant. It's just mind bogglingly cool what he came up with. There are two little leather carved planets up in the bale, and one down at the bottom of the pendant. The colors of the stacked leather and the planets are flat out gorgeous. Kousuke just thinks of everything, soooo creative, and yet the design is simple and elegant at the same time. You can see the 3D design of the cab from the shadows it shows, when you hold this pendant up to the light, you see that there is a thin layer of clear going around the whole design that Kousuke left exposed, and just that tiny detail adds more to the cool factor. One of the sweetest things though is the UV dots in the spacey design which Gateson fashioned, coming alive under the black light. Even the leather work on the back of this one is AWESOME!
