This space marble could not have existed...if not for a chunk of space visiting our Earth! That's because this is one of the first marbles from Gateson featuring a chunk of Moldavite inside. Modavite is a rare mineral, usually with a greenish tint, which was formed 15 million years ago when a giant meteorite struck somewhere in Eastern Europe, the impact melting some of the sediment around the meteor into a glass-like material as it cooled and fell back to earth. In this Universe marble, you can see the moldavite sitting on top of the gold fuming in the lens, and there is one cool closeup shot of it as well. There is also an opal over top of a sparkly blast pattern which I like to think represents the impact, with the opal 'meteorite' crushing the earth and sending fragments up into the atmosphere. The fuming all around is just INCREDIBLE in this marble, especially in hand!! I also dearly looooove the purple-ish planets found inside this Universe. In the second closeup photo I tried to get a good picture of a small pure silver sphere which is also found down in there, another rare feature for a Universe marble. This is a special one, with LOTS going on, loads to explore, and is incredibly unique compared to Universe marbles we've seen in the past! Gateson just continues to CRUSH it!
