Mmmmm, glorious glass carving, wrapped around a glass gift! Andrew has played around with boro glass fusing at several points in his career, and I believe this is one of his earlier fused canes he created, with a slice of it then decorated, frosted, and carved up into this sweet little paperweight, perfect for your office desk. The carved lines are wonderful, and the bottom has two bases ground to a polish (providing the fractal view you see), which serves two functions - you have multiple angles to display the piece at, and then you have another couple of views to the boro fusion. Sweetness!!
