Here is another historical gem from Andrew's past, being released from my personal collection - one of his amazing geode paperweights, made over a decade ago in 2004. Andrew was the originator of this glass geode style, often copied but never duplicated. For me, these weights are Andrew's crowning achievement, and yet he rarely if ever makes them any more as he has moved on to other styles, so these get harder and harder to find as collectors hoard them. There are so many amazing layers of glass to this beauty here. Inside there are what appear to be glass stones laid over top of dichro, with spiraling lines, and a fiery opal resting down in the middle of the geode. The backside is GORGEOUS in hand, with a deep reddish copper color created from frit and heavy gold fuming, very shiny when you see it. I love how you can see the layers where the base is cut out in the back. A rare chance at a beauty like this! Signed 'A.Brown 04'.
