The nicest large (up to 12" plates or so) combination epidote/quartz matrix specimens that I have seen from Calumet were found in this pocket. The gem quartz crystals were up to 1/2" by 2" on a matrix of many fine epidote crystals mostly about 1/4". It was pointed out to me by a half dozen mineral collectors on vacation from France when they were ready to leave. They did leave many nice epidote only specimens behind, and I was lucky enough to be able to extend the hole and find a couple in combination with gem grade quartz crystals.
