Thank you so much for making this picture available. I have been searching my bird books and internet to identify a pair in Texas. All pictures were like the other Great Blue Heron picture you show, which has more coloring. These birds frequent our tiny counry backyard pond for their meals. 1 even landed approx. 10 feet from me one day!
Now I can study their habits.
