Teak and Merbau and Meranti are the three worst ones.The teak in the form of a large amount of furniture sold in the US.Merbau hardwood flooring accounts for about 70% of flooring sold in the US, This is sold at Lowes and Home Depot,then there is Meranti plywood which accounts for about 18 million cubic meters or about 3/4 of all plywood sold in the US.The two biggest byers and importers of these products are USA and Japan.These three items are being logged, mainly by the Chinese who then sell products to the USA and Japan.By buying any of these three items you are helping destroy the habitat of this beautiful animal plus many other species.Mahogany from South America is also another one to avoid,but thats another story.
