A Mallard duck... we got those here, well, for a few summer months ! They are quite plentyfull... This is a male, the female is much more... simple in colors ! Funny how in the animal world, the males are the ones wearing all the colors !
We also use it as an expression here, like How are you doing ? Like a duck (calme on the surface but rowing like hell underneat !)
