3rd - Avenue

near Upper Coberley, Glos. view map

Another gloriously colourful evening high up in the hills; I love the patterns these old trees make (I think I've taken photos of this avenue before...)

Loving the Nikkor 20mm f/1.8 lens, it's extra sharp and produces some lovely images, especially on the highly capable D610

I can't imagine the weight of that branch in the foreground, pushing out so far from the tree!

The trees are impressive. I used to have a Nikon D600 which always produced impressive images.

Very nice perspective. I like the lighting on the trees.
Nice shot with the 20mm. Have you tried it on the D850?

Those trees are veritable ancients - this is a stunning, well-composed, immensely appealing shot. V

that's a grand avenue...the trees are wondrously shaped and deliciously dappled, and that streak of yellow in the distance is the icing on the cake..V

They look so lovely as they begin to sprout new leaves but the bones of the tree are still in full view....one or ten photos, they will always impress.
