25th - Ruins

Charlton King's Common, Glos. view map

I've been photographing these old farmhouse ruins for more years than I care to remember - they never change, they just are...which is comforting

I know some of you were unsure about yesterday's kitchen abstract, which was just the handles of a couple of pans inside each other and taken straight on with a shallow-ish DOF; glad you're all enjoying the obscure imaging of my kitchen :o)

They look like they have become part of the landscape... well captured with the light and shadows.

I enjoy all of your photos, inside and out. I agree about ruins like this. They become part of the landscape. Love the shadows here. V

Beautiful composition and light. I like how you situated the clouds with your low camera position. V

megalithic ruins at a quick glance, yet even a disintegrating farmhouse speaks of area history...the wide view to include setting is certainly full of interest..
