17th - Blast From The Past

Cheltenham, Glos.

Sometimes listening to oldies but goodies is just what you need to recharge the batteries - I've been re-introduced to the dulcet tones of Neil Hannon and The Divine Comedy...some superb lyrics and word-smithing from our man Neil:

Mini-skirts were in style when she danced down the aisle
Back in '63 (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
But it's hard to get by when your arse is the size
Of a small country
(from 'National Express')

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I immediately thought of National Express when I saw the title. Thanks for the reminder of this very much golden oldie, Doug.

the old favourites work best to re-calibrate the sensibilities and energize the spirits..

Thanks for posting Doug. Divine Comedy didn't really register with me at the time but I enjoyed the video clip.

Never heard of them before, but the video is certainly entertaining with a fun sound! :)

"It hard to get by when your arse is the size of a small country " is one of the song lyrics that has made me laugh more than any other

Good choice - if I remember rightly it was a great video (broadband problems so can't watch it).

Never heard of him (or them) before - is he all there? As long as it gives you a charge.

I just put mine into the charger :o))
