2nd - Let There Be Light

Cheltenham, Glos.

I'm not at all sure about this one...I don't think the composition works, and I'm not really too confident about the light or focus...mmmm

A fantastic juxtaposition. Old and new, natural and artificial.

Doug, you always manage to make ordinary household items look amazing, surreal and luminous. Excellent once again. V

Yes ! Excellent ! For millions of centuries the light was the candles and since a few couple of years its electricity !
Maaike Huizer03-Mar-2010 07:07
Strong composition and light. Good idea too.

I like their isolation, works well and each has it´s own shine kept, otherwise it´s difficult to achieve what you did here! Great V.

Not only have you beaten me to this one, you have done a lot better job than me too.
Cindi Smith02-Mar-2010 22:55
I like it but with Phillip...the candle doesn't pop as much as the lightbulb! Excellent idea!
Bernard Davis02-Mar-2010 20:47
Looks photoshopped, nothing wrong with that, but the two light sources don't really work together.

I did this same idea yesterday, but was not happy with my results. Yours looks great Doug!

Nice shot
Phillip Normanton02-Mar-2010 19:33
I think a non-black background would help - your light has nowhere to go... :o)
