RMS Oceanic

The White Star Liner RMS 'Oceanic' in the harbour at Belfast (launched 1899).
At 17,272 gross tons, the ship cost one million pounds sterling to build.
At a speed of 19 knots, it was capable of circumnavigating the globe without refuelling.
In 1912, the Oceanic was one of the rescue vessels that retrieved bodies from the sinking of the Titanic in the North Atlantic Ocean.
