2016 was a very poor year for pollinators and insects in general in Lincoln and Spokane counties. The drought years of 2014 & 2015 yielded fairly high insect counts. The cold wet that ended the drought in 2016 caused a plummet in many bee, fly and butterfly numbers. It seemed especially bad in the sagebrush coulee areas.
