I took some photos and we returned to our day long winter survey work. At the end of the day I downloaded the shots and the lens clearly shows fishing line running through the branchs. In some of the shots I was sure that I could see ice encrusting the wing on the other side of the bird, just as it had the branch. I drove down and used a flash light to determine that the bird was still there and then called other Audubon Society friends for help.
