Texas

While visiting southern Texas near the Rio Grande Valley, I attended the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival. This is one of the largest birding festivals in North America, and was an absolutely thrilling time.

In far-southern Texas, there are a variety of Mexican-dwelling birds that can be found, in addition to the many coastal and open scrub-dwelling birds! The southern Rio Grande Valley region is an amazing place to go birding.

I had so much fun connecting with birdwatchers throughout the week! It was exciting to host my Naturally Avian Birding Tours booth at the festival grounds. I am very interested in connecting more and more with birders from around the world, and am planning on attending this festival next year!
