Thanks for your comment. I just realized I neglected to provide captions for the set. The bird is actually a very rare visitor to Colorado, a Pyrrhuloxia, a close relative of the N Cardinal. This is only the 5th record in the state, so it has attracted quite a lot of attention!

I find the Northern Cardinal to be at peak plumage during the winter months! She is at peak plumage - nice
