Built around the turn of the century, renovations funded by the non-profit foundation “Ariel” were completed in August 2007 when the building was re-inaugurated as a cultural centre. The past year saw klezmer (traditional Jewish folk music of Eastern Europe) concerts with performing artists from Budapest, New York and Paris, as well as a Hanukah event with learning centres designed to educate the community, non-Jewish and Jewish alike, about the holiday.
