Koko Crater is an extinct volcano on the eastern shore of Oahu. It forms a circle with an opening facing inland. Inside is a rustic botanical garden, one of the five city gardens, that features a two mile hike around the circumference. Plants and trees from around the world are grouped by geographical origin. The crater garden is not well known and offers a wonderful experience for photographers.
Bill,
You've managed to bring life to one of Oahu's least travelled city gardens. I've been there twice and was just blown away by the treasures there.
The nondescript entrance and lack of any apparent support system are probably some of the reasons it's less well known.
Love your photos. Motivates me to visit there again.
