After 45 years, this was probably my last visit to the place and my final attendance at a Yankee game.
They start demolition this month. May the Yankee organization choke and die in the new mausoleum.

I spent many afternoons & nights here growing up so I look at these images with much sadness. Yankee Stadium is an American treasure. The imitation next door will never have the same aura or magic about it that this one had, just $10 beers and more shallow exploitation of the real fans. The demolition is scheduled to start in March. MLB or the city of New York should step forward and stop it. The Stadium is a major historical site and should be saved for future generations to enjoy. Wishful thinking on my part! Great gallery of images though... voted
