Rocky 54 Birthdays

On 9/22/11 about 60 people got together to celebrate many of us reaching the age of 75. We met at the River House restaurant in Moline and it was really comfortable and "warm and fuzzy". We had 60 (plus or minus) folks including partners. I've put close-ups on the end of the gallery.

I am so very greatful for all the pictures I work as a Tit;e 1 Aid at Denkmann in rock Island, so was unable to get away. I have missed so many days because of surgeory and radiation treatments. Please have another one and I will do my very best to be there. I am sure that I missed a wonderful time. Thank You to all of you that plan these events. I will be 75 in January of 2012. I was able to find Ramon Grissom-McCray and she is on our email list. I also spoke with Gloria Lomas who does not have email but is interested in keeping in touch with the class. I asked if she knew if Ramon Pierce was alive and she thought he had recently passed. He once belonged to her church.

We spent the last 6 years in the Quads but this year we left early to go back to Florida and missed this great luncheon. At least I did get to dine with a lot of Amigos out at the Croatian Club...fun Place! It was good that the luncheon was during the day...all of us old folks are afraid of the dark....Harry Lester I had to drop out of teaching, too much drugs, drinking, muggings, and that was just in the Teachers' Loungs!

Sure wish that we had VALID e-mail addresses for ALL of our classmates. If you are in contact with ANY of our cohorts, please remind them to visit this website and to keep McCabe and the rest of the Reunion Committee "up-to-date" on how to best contact each and all. Father Time is harvesting our classmates, and we sincerely want to keep the "good vibes" going for as long as possible. As best I could count, there were 62 attendees: two of whom represented the class of 1953. Of the remaining 60, I was able to identify 40 Classmates and 20 "spice" [or is that spouses?] Greatly look forward to next year, as this is an easy and low budget operation for the Reunion Committee.

Beautifulpeople, all. But you all look older than me. LOL And, in fact, you are, if you had your 75th in 2011. I won't be 75 until Jan. 2012. Would love to meet you all again one of these days, but rarely make the trip from CA.

Marlyne and I apologize for missing the birthday party. We knew about it and it just 'slipped through the cracks'. We must be getting a day or two older. Hopefully, we can try this annually and not wait for our 80th. Best wishes to all,

Thanks, for sharing the pictures. How many were at the luncheon? Did anyone count those in attendance? Im guess was one hundred. We missed seeing Tony Rosa-Gastaldo.

As usual, we didn't get to visit with everyone. The 75th BD party was a good idea.
