Why has it been abandoned? To my eye it is rare to find a home that fits in such harmony with the site. Oh for a creative soul to save this one before the weather and the vandals take it back.

It does look like a wonderful little spot. Are you sure it isn't a vacation cabin and just not currently occupied? If it is abandoned, maybe the owner passed away.
