I was on my deck, when I looked up and saw this Coopers about 20 feet away. I slowly backed into the house and got my new camera, which was still in its packaging. Not knowing anything about the camera settings, I snapped a half dozen shots. Although the automatic flash went off, all of the pictures were too dark, and I almost trashed them all. But just for a moment, I adjusted the brightness and contrast. To my surprise, the result was this scary looking bird!
