Point-and-shoot, or small sensor? I was first made aware of the term small sensor camera by Sean Reid, photographer and reviewer ( http://www.reidreviews.com/reidreviews). It is his view that these small insignificant cameras, with rough grain, silent shutters and infinite depth of field, are a new genre brought about by digital photography. Others have likened them to the early Leica rangefinders which brought the onset of 35mm photography. In these days of the dSLR which shoots to medium format quality, I believe they have a point.
These photographs are taken mostly with the Ricoh GRD1 & 2
