We visited the ruins of Caesarea Maritima on the Mediterranean Sea built by King Herod in 22 BC which became the seat of government for the Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate. Also during the 12th century it was the Crusader City during the Crusades. Of importance for Christians is the stone carving of the name Pontius Pilate, the conversion of the first Gentiles to adopt Christianity by Simon Peter (Acts 10) and of Paul who was imprisoned here waiting to be sent to Rome for trial (Acts 25).
Blessings and Love from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, Bill Creech
