Podomys floridanus
A state species of special concern, the Florida mouse is nocturnal and very reluctant to pose. My estimate of mouse speed is just a little under the speed of light when crossing the sand. This one was almost back in her gopher hole on Cemetary Rd, Etoniah Creek State Forest.
