Cabeus A

Caldwell, Texas

Cabeus A is the crater used for the LCROSS experiment on the moon.
In addition to the 400 mm lens, the Canon EF 2X II and
Canon EF 1.4X II Extenders were stacked on the lens to give a total
focal length of 1120 mm.

The image was made from a stack of five images processed in
ACR/Photoshop CS3 Extended with mean value processing. NeatImage was
also used to help clean up residual noise.

The aperture value shown in the EXIF data is incorrect. It should be f/16.

This shot was made some two weeks after the experiment so the area
around Cabeus A is rather dark at the time of this image.
