The faces of China

My wife Paula and I made a trip to China in October of 2006. I found myself
doing a lot of people watching and ended up trying to get grab shots of interesting faces.
Many people were willing to have their picture taken while others waved me away or hid.
At any rate, I think my people shots give me greater pleasure than the usual touristy
record shots.

I agree with your comment! My wife and I were there last May. Looking at my albums now (still working on them), it is the personal shots that are the best. Hope to go back!

Wonderful set of portraits! Same thing happened to me when I travelled to China in 1995. I was really drawn to all these faces and expressions, specially from children and old people. Number 170 is my favourite.
