Like how you have framed this shot of the tower with the other buildings, and the architectural style of the tower is so unique and such a stand-out. V

Wow! I know that is something famous but can't quite place it. Spectacular composition using all the other, closer red brick buildings to frame it. ~BV~

A superb contrast of tones ! The belltower looks lighter with the stripes...

A-HA! I know that place! It's the campanile of the Cattedrale di Siena. (Oh, I just noticed that the previous comment guessed that, but it definitely is.) I'd be there a little over 3 years after you took that shot. At the time I didn't really appreciate how significant the building was; at one point it was on track to be the largest cathedral in the world, but that wasn't a popular idea with the papacy and in any case the Black Death wiped out huge chunks of Siena's population which stopped further work. Part of me would like to go back and really look through it, but Siena's not my favourite place; it's the only part of Italy where I felt unwelcome.
I like the way you've framed the shot between the old brick buildings and the classic Tuscan terracotta roofs. It hits the right vibe for the area.

an intriguing scene...curious how the tower's columns increase in number with height..a locator would be informative...Sienna perhaps?
