I grew up in NE Pennsylvania and was a Yankee fan during my early years. I still admire their history and legacy...it's just a part of me. However, living near Philly for the last 37+ years, I've grown to become a Phillies fan over these many years. Nevertheless, those Yankee pinstripes still get to me. Each year during our Spring Training trips we have seen a Yankee-Phillie game. This year we saw one in Tampa at the newly christened George M. Steinbrenner Field. Jamie Moyer pitched a gem...6.2 innings of one-hit baseball and the Phillies won, 3-0. Still the Yanks are World Champions. I'm hoping for a rematch in the 2010 World Series of my two favorite baseball teams.
