After our wonderful visit to the Ringling Museum on March 12, 2012, we drove east of Sarasota to visit Myakka River State Park.
It is one of Florida's oldest and largest state parks. The "Florida Wild and Scenic Myakka River" flows through 57 square miles of wetlands, prairies and woodlands.
One of the many highlights of this park is the Canopy Walkway which we enjoyed.
