My wife and I chartered a bush plane ride to the top and around Denali for one of our excursions during our Alaskan journey.
The pilot could not assure us we would get to actually see Denali since there were many clouds in the sky upon takeoff.
Only 30% of visitors to Denali National Park actually will see the top of this magnificent mountain, the tallest peak in the USA at 20,320 feet!
As we climbed through the clouds our hopes of seeing Denali were uncertain.
Once we put on our oxygen masks and climbed above 15,000 feet, there it was – The Great One!
