"Cape May World War II Bunker" 1

Built in 1942 with walls seven feet thick still stands today. When it was built, the bunker was more than 900 feet or so from the ocean, on high ground.
It was covered in sod so as to blend in with the surroundings, which explains why it's not so pretty today, with the sides exposed.
It was never meant to be permanent, but it stands today on the beach near the Cape May Lighthouse.
