Glenn showed us some limestone explaining how eons ago the Fakahatchee Strand was once under water and part of the ocean.
The elevation here is only 3-8 feet above sea level. But 6-12 inches in elevation change will create an entirely different environment
from open grasses to trees to swamps. It's an amazing ecosystem which Glenn explained nicely.
