LAGUNA DE SALINAS

5am looking at the vulcano near Arequipa	remember Fujimori, president of Peru?	and with our jeep	before climbing people would pray	in this church for a safe trip
another view at El Misti vulcano	the shape of the mountain represents a childīs head	my two tour guides Carlos and Zaida	and one of these stupid tourists again...	and the highest point on the mountain
El Misti with Arequipa on the left	the plateau looks like a desert landscape	and is very very big	arriving at the salt lake lagoon	which at the moment does not have
salt at all, but lots of water	which makes it great to find flamingos	here three of them in action	and even more	the water of the lake is salty
vast land with just the 3 of us	this plateau lies on 4300 meters above sea level	one can hardly see this from photos	but one can definitely feel it in the air	and sorry, more flamengos

this is a Llama in brown	and in white	there were lots of them	in many colours	and funny faces
they are all marked	and one with two colours	and another one	and here one in blue, strange looking...	here another colony of flamengos
and I scared them away	so that I could take some nice shots	I think they got really annoyed with me	but I was the only tourist around	so it should be ok
A panoramic View of the huge salt lake	the sheer vastness of the place was amazing	on the right one can see my guides	funny sign, almost like the one in Australia	but with a Llama instead of a kangoroo
a blue llama standing next to it...	and showing off	amazing landscape	Carlos with his small car :-)	a local village had a celebration
with a march of the local school	with lots of school kids that wanted	to be photographed with their friends	lining up and wanting to see the photos	which I showed them on my camera
and they were very happy	some cheeky boys	wanted a photo	beautiful faces	and happy friends
