The colors were gorgeous that day. This is another shot of the cone as we drove to the summit.
The summit drive itself is only open about 45 days a year - from late July through the end of August.
While the mountain itself is about 11,000 feet tall, the summit drive only rises to about 9,000 feet. That's enough to drop the outside temp about 40 degrees.
