Among many other features Yellowstone N. P. is noted for its colorful thermal pools, streams, and runoffs. The colors are created by various mineral deposits, bacterial growth, and algae mats. On my recent trip there I concentrated some of my photographic efforts on capturing the abstract patterns of color and shape these deposits created. This gallery displays some of my results. The complimentary gallery "Yellowstone National Park" offers a more traditional view of the park.
