Located 12 kms from Ajmer, the holy lake of Pushkar is believed to have been created by Lord Brahma himself. Legend tells that the lake appeared miraculously, when a lotus fell from the hands of Lord Brahma and dropped into this valley. Brahma Temple, the most famous temple in Pushkar, is the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the entire country.
