Mono lake nestled in the eastern Sierras is a wonder of nature. The highly alkaline lake water, unearthly tufa features and its unique biome has kept every scientific mind interested. But it is also a photographer's paradise.
Posted below are photographs beginning with a cloudy rainy evening when I basically had to keep my camera covered with a plastic bag all time, waiting for a moment when the rain took a break. But the next morning was one could ever ask for ! patchy clouds and a beautiful sunrise. 'wish could be there for another day or two.
