Saddly these are no longer used to taxi people about town. Could be because rude comments were made if passengers were "over-sized". Also, I remember, after a day spent in Hailong Bay, a dark evening on the pier, and a band of ruffian cyclo owners getting into fisticuffs over who would take us and thus get paid. A little scary, when the two young girls disappear into the night in the first cyclo while we watched the others fight over who would get to transport the remainder of us at, of course, a newly negotiated fee. Never so happy to get back to my daughter's school and find her and her friend waiting on us.
