This project is in answer to a challenge by Beth on a PSE forum. We were asked to try to do a tpriptych with 9 sections.
I chose a photo of two girls in a door way at the Summer Palace in China. I had to change the door color on the right from red from a bright white, and I added the Peking Opera girl as a poster on the door just for interest. I added shadows etc. I also pulled in a photo of a tree branch and used blending modes to position it in lower right corner. I used the grid for measuring selections, used 33%. Moved sections to their own layers and framed each and added drop shadow. Background was a fill layer with texture pattern then a gradient pulled up from the bottom. I added some brush flourishes from the Scrapper's Guide Travel kit on background. Used levels, color curves and sharpen to finish. Sizing was the biggest problem for this but with using the grid it worked out fine. Beth knows how to keep us busy for a while.
