This is the orginal composite that I made using photographs, selections and scaned in tree bark. The butterfly was a photo I had taken of a poor butterfly who had lost part of its wing and was looking very faded and drab. It is now late August and I thought the golden rod and wood fire would bring to mind the end of summer and the warmth the butterfly must be seeking. The misty look on the blending mode composite came about because I used my light background pattern (shown on the butterfly blending modes) as bottom canvas layer on both theses creations. Fun learning about the blending modes!
