Week 5 Popies in hand.jpg

I created this for my 5th week class. Not sure what kind of art you would call this but to me it shows how we sometimes try to put beauty and art so we can hold it in our hand instead of just seeing all the beauty around us, even in a field of painted popies.
I used the cut out hand holding a ball made with a displacement filter(this was part of our homework for this week). I added the stop sign as we studied making signs. I used for the background a photo of popies (from Karen's open painting class in painter, that I was preparing for that class). I used filter.render/lighting spotlight toward the stop sign, used gradient tool on some edges and made a shadow of the sign with elements brush drawn flowers at base.

Oh Betty -- you are a thoughtful philosopher! I will slow down and breath in the artwork surrounding me under the sky. Thank you!

Nicely done, Betty1 Sara is an awesome teacher. I am sure you learned a lot from her. I love this. It is sort of like "stop and smell the poppies".
