created for a birthday card based on a video by Corey Barker on photoshopelementsuser.com. Used the puzzle filter which comes with PSE4 but you must download it from presets. You make a 50% gray layer apply puzzle filter, copy layer, add photo as background layer. Turn off top layer, change middle gray puzzle layer to overlay, merge layer with photo background layer. Select puzzle pieces from top gray puzzle layer, copy/paste each to new layers. (be sure you are on background layer when you do this.) Resize background layer, move puzzle pieces that were cut out to side of photo. low shadow on pieces. Clean up inside background. (I see I left a couple little left overs that should have been erased. I've left a lot of the small details out here but the video is very complete.
