Tars's Portraiture -Lesson 5

This is my fifth class in Karen Bonaker's Open Painting Class. This one is on Portraiture. We used a clone copy, made a woodcut effect copy, used clone copy filled with color then mucked up using Artist, Sargent Brush, soft light mode, used acrylic captured bristle and a little soft clone to bring back details in face. I hope I didn't over do this part. Then copied woodcut effect and pasted over last work. Soft light mode again. Saved for Web, but didn't really make it small enough for posting here. I had tried to keep it at 8X10 size to print. Need to learn more on resizing. I get confused on best sizes and how to do in differant programs.

I really feel I caught Tara's personality in my painting.

See Orginal her photo in my gallery here.

This portrait sparkles with movement and life, Betty, possibly my favorite thing you've done!
