A strong pitching performance by Jared Gruenke paved the way for the Sheboygan Post 83 legion baseball team in a 6-3 win at Kimberly in the second game of a doubleheader on Tuesday.

Visiting Sheboygan dropped the opener 6-5 and moved to 16-11 overall, 4-6 in Fox River Valley Legion league play.

In the opener, Sheboygan squandered a 5-4 lead in the sixth.

Ryan Hamm took the loss, allowing three hits and two runs. Josh Gruenke and Alec Lang had two hits in the opener.

In the nightcap, Jared Gruenke went 5.1 innings, allowing one earned run on three hits. Sam Raff got the save and scored two runs.

Ben Hendricks had a two-RBI single in the fifth inning.
