The image shows the Hortus Botanicus Lovaniensis, better known as the Kruidtuin
(Botanical Garden), in Leuven. It is the oldest botanical garden in Belgium,
founded in 1738 for the university's medical students. The garden covers an area
of over 2 hectares and houses an extensive collection of trees, shrubs, and bushes.
The collections also include impressive tropical greenhouses, as shown in the photo.
The garden is free to visit and is maintained by the municipality of Leuven.
